As I look out at this beautiful post sunrise view, reflection glazing across the top of the water and birds singing all around, it reminded me that life isn’t always like a perfect sunrise or sunset. There are many ups and downs, twists and turns, yet in its own amazing way can be remarkable and perfection. I talk often about surrounding yourself with the right people. Positive people who are consistently there to lift you, encourage you and be a light. Those who can help you shift and break through the not so good days or not so good news by changing your perspective and outlook. It was a rainy day in the northeast for the 4th of July and I commented to my best friend whose birthday it was, that all this heavy rain was washing away and scrubbing clean any of the toxic stuff that’s been bearing down on us so that come July 5th the sky will give way to rays of sunshine beaming down to celebrate her new, fresh start and day one of her next “birthday year”. It’s all perspective and having friends that can do even the smallest of things without expecting a thing in return…well that’s beautiful. Be present to receive these types of blessings and witness the amazing beauty all around us and even in the worst of situations. It won’t be easy at times, but it will be worth it and way more enjoyable then clouding up your mind on those people or those things that don’t deserve your precious energy and time. We don’t get that back so spend it wisely with those who matter most. xx, a-m

Love the message on one of my favorite yoga mats! Never, never, never give up!  Daily mantra and daily meditation with yoga goes hand in hand for me.  I am grateful for the positive changes this practice has brought me in the past few years.   Shine bright, leave YOUR legacy and I hope you join me in embracing this mantra~ Never, never, never give up!!! You will soon learn, that one of my top three fruits are blueberries!! These beautiful blues, as I like to refer to them,  provide SO much amazing nourishment- please get them into your diet!! Anti-inflammatory, antioxidents, brain boosters, they attack cancer causing free radicals, improve vision, are low calorie and fiber rich. You can toss them into your morning chia seed pudding, oatmeal, smoothies or just eat them solo as they are so delish.  I eat them every day and if you can’t find them fresh, buy them frozen/organic and pop them into your smoothies!   xx, a-m

I have been oil pulling for a few months now and loving the positive benies I see from it.

What:  Spoonful of organic coconut oil, place it into your mouth and start creating a swishing motion like you would mouthwash. The coconut oil will turn to more of a liquid and be easier within a few seconds.  Start with 5 minutes, working your way up to 20 minutes.

When complete- Spit into your trash can or toilet- avoid the sink as it can clog drains.  Rinse mouth with water, spit and go about your daily routine.

When:  In the morning before you eat breakfast

Where:  You can oil pull while making breakfast, taking a shower, catching up on your morning news or SportsCenter or even when walking your furry pets.  You get the point…

Why:  Whitens teeth, freshens breath, removes toxins, strengthens gums, teeth and jaw, prevents cavities and gingivitis, helps alleviate acne/eczema/psoriasis- skin glows, improves immune system, improves sleep, clears sinuses.

Happy Pulling 😉 xx, a-m
